The Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) Verification Technologies Group seeks subject matter expert(s) (SME) to support ORNL’s International Office of Radiological Security (ORS) Transport Security Program. The SME(s) will develop, modify and present ORNL and ORS-owned presentations, training, workshop & technical exchange materials. Additional planning meetings, reporting and pre/post trip meetings with other national labs, headquarters (HQ) sponsors, and international partners may be required to plan, discuss and execute the ORS mission.
The seller SME(s) will leverage transport security operational expertise to assist ORNL with efforts in support of international engagements and radioactive source protection and removal operation(s). The SME(s) will work with representatives from response-based competent authorities to develop sustainable capacity skills and equipment at the local and national level for improved transport security and response.
