UT-Battelle, LLC (the Company) is seeking to support a new neptunium oxide pellet production line. To do so, we must purchase a comprehensive configuration for an Automated Pellet Pressing System (APPS). The key aspects of this APPS include: System Configuration, Automation Programming, and Functional Testing.
The successful deployment of the APPS is critical to achieving the future throughput demands for pellets that are manufactured at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL). These pellets are loaded into targets that are irradiated in either the High Flux Isotope Reactor at ORNL or the Advanced Test Reactor at Idaho National Laboratory.
The successful Offeror will be using an existing Keyence PLC, Keyence HMI, Denso six axis robot, Promess presses, and IAI actuators. The successful Offeror shall not replace these components with components from a different manufacturer without prior Company approval.
